Mike Vick Goes To The Birds…

Well unless you have been sleeping under a pile of boulders you have heard by now that Michael Vick is now on an NFL roster. On Thursday he signed a 1-year deal with an option for a second year. The potential earnings of the contract is over $6 million.
My thoughts on signing are simple. I am happy that someone who made many mistakes is getting another opportunity. I never agreed with his jail sentence but I understood why he received the length of time he did. Not only did he break the laws of the land but he also broke the laws of trust. He lied to many people over and over.
As for Mike Vick the football player, let’s just hope that he learns from how he carried himself before. The laziness, the lack of focus, the lack of interest in becoming the best player he could be, and all of his other missteps have no place in this “Mike Vick” era.
